Venus And The Solitary Cloud

João Magalhães returns to his research on duality, exploring the dialogue between cultures, materials, artisanal handwork and high tech innovation. In Venus and the Solitary Cloud we again witness the conversation between couture and streetwear, from manual draping and beading, graffiti and Digital Print to ceramic and 3D printing. In this iteration, João combines Catholic iconography with characters from the street, in a vivid tableau of the urban chaos which inspires the designer.
